PKN conference on the occasion of the Polish Standardization Day
Security and independence are issues that do not lose their relevance, they are necessary for the functioning of the state, significant for the activities of many institutions, and certainly for the entire society. They are also the subject of standardization work, which aims to propose the best and proven solutions. Protection of critical infrastructure is one of the priorities, because it is crucial for the security of the state and its citizens.
On May 18, 2023, on the occasion of the Polish Standardization Day, PKN organized a free conference entitled: "The role of standardization in the protection of critical infrastructure" at the Conference Center ‘Golden Floor EuroCentrum’ in Warsaw.
During the conference, the experts discussed issues related to the protection of critical infrastructure. The invited guests talked, among others, about the national program for the protection of critical infrastructure, standards in the field of public safety and harmonized standards. They also raised - in relation to the CER Directive - a new approach to standardization in the protection of critical infrastructure, as well as the level of cybersecurity of the European Union in the context of the NIS2 Directive.
The participation of entities directly involved in the protection of critical infrastructure allowed for a comprehensive presentation of the event’s subject matter.
A detailed report from the conference can be found in the May issue of the monthly "Wiadomości PKN".
