Polish Standardization Day 2016
Like every year, on May 20th the Polish Standardization Day was celebrated. The motto of this year's celebration was "Safety at work. Work safety regulations and standards". This topic very well interacts with the main goal of modern standardization, which concerns primarily the security.
At the conference, which was held on the occasion of Polish Standardization Day, the issues relating to work safety regulations in historical perspective were presented. The current state of the work safety regulations was also discussed, with emphasis on the challenges of standardization concerning research and evaluation of intelligent personal protective equipment.
At the end of the conference Professor Sławomir Białas received PKN’s Standardization COMPASS award. Professor Sławomir Białas is a doyen of Polish standardization – national and international expert with great achievements and experience in standardization.
