Polish Standardization Day
The Polish Standardization Day was celebrated for the sixth time on May the 20th. Established in 2010, this day is the occasion to honour all persons and entities associated with standardization and to promote standardization system and its advantages.
This year the Polish Standardization Day was celebrated under the banner: “Quality Management System. What standardization has to do with it?” On this occasion, PKN organized a conference in Ministry of Economy. The theme of the conference was the revision of ISO 9001 standard Quality Management System – Requirements. The meeting received much attention; among the participants there were representatives of governmental bodies, entrepreneurs, academia, trade and consumer federations and associations.
The last item on the agenda of this year’s event was the PKN’s Award “Standardization Compass”. This prize is awarded to people whose involvement has been exeptional in promotion and development of standardization system.
We believe that such meetings contribute to raising awareness about standardization, thereby adding permanently Polish Standardization Day to the calendar of events.
