Can withdrawn standards be applied?
Currently, in Poland, a voluntary standardization system is in place. In this system, Polish Standards (Polskie Normy) can be withdrawn and replaced by a new version (edition) of the same standard or by another standard(s). Alternatively, they may be withdrawn without replacement, following the decision of the relevant Technical Body of the Polish Committee for Standardization (PKN), especially after losing technical relevance. All standards, both from the current collection and those withdrawn, can be applied. The decision to apply a standard is made at the responsibility of the manufacturer/user.
