Baltic Standards Forum is an annual gathering of representatives of national standardization bodies from Lithuania (LST), Estonia (EVS), Latvia and Poland (PKN). This year’s edition took place between 26th and 28th of August.

It’s become a tradition that the event is organized each year by a different member state. The role of a host this year was played by Latvia, and the venue was the town of Trakai.

The forum usually begins with the plenary session which gathers all delegates who are then divided into smaller groups to discuss variety  of subjects, ranging from management, standardization work and distribution of standards to the utilization of IT tools.

The BSF main purpose is to work out a common standardization policy for the Baltic states, as well as taking joint actions and initiatives at European level. It also creates an opportunity to share one’s achievements and to exchange experience with the rest of participants.
