Baltic Standards Forum

2014-10-15

The last Baltic Standards Forum (BSF) was organised during the last week of August. This time the meeting took place in Poland, so PKN performed the role of a host. Guests from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, who - together with PKN - comprised the Forum, were invited to Giżycko. The meeting was attended by representatives of leadership of national standards bodies (NSB) and experts. All of them considered the opportunity to meet so-called “line workers”, who discussed the pre-determined topics or shared ideas and experiences, as an undeniable advantage.

Traditionally, at the beginning there was a time for a collective plenary session, and afterwards the participants worked in thematically focused working groups (WG 1 Management, WG 2 Standardization work, WG 3 IT and standards, WG 4 Customer service and standardization information). During the plenary session, the heads of delegations presented achievements of their NSBs since the previous BSF.

The next meeting of the Baltic Standards Forum will take place in Lithuania.
